Meet Staci...prepared and committed to serve
I’m Staci Carroll. I have spent +3 years serving on the American Fork City Council. When I first ran for city council, I was struck by American Fork’s legacy and strong sense of community. Since elected, I have worked hard to drive and support policies that are responsible and true to American Fork’s legacy and values.
I am an effective leader with a proven ability to build coalitions. For the past four consecutive years, I have been asked to fill assignments as the City Council’s point person for (1) Steel Days, (2) the American Fork Chamber of Commerce, and (3) economic development initiatives. These repeated demanding assignments demonstrate the trust that the Mayor and Council have in my abilities and willingness to put in the time to get things done. In addition, I have been a voice of collaboration and civility. This remains a preeminent goal in my policymaking.
During my time in office, I have maintained focus on providing funding for public safety, improving roads, upgrading the city’s water infrastructure, managing growth, driving economic development, and building community.
Working on the council has given me the opportunity to work with incredible residents, business owners, and city employees. I love American Fork and have been honored to serve on the city council.
FAMILY AND INTERESTS
My husband, Diego, and I have three perfect (ha!) children who inspire me to make our community and world a better place for the long term.
I was born and raised in Orem, Utah and have been living in American Fork for the last +10 years. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 2000, I worked full-time for a local startup (wireless internet provider) and subsequently at NuSkin corporate. I took a break from full-time employment to stay home with my children and am now employed by the BYU Marriott School of Business as the Manager of Inclusion and Diversity.
I spend my free time running, skiing, gardening and hiking. I love the recreation and natural beauty of Utah; it’s one of my favorite things about living here.
